Our dogs

Roxton Kennels & Cattery is home to Romaunt Welsh Terriers, Verrami Miniature Wire Haired Dachsunds and Weimaraners.

Romaunt has been a prefix since the late 1980s, however dogs have played a major part in Julien's life since day one. Originally having Cocker Spaniels and then Miniature Schnauzers he then found Welsh Terriers, the smaller version of an Airedale which was the breed he first knew as a baby.

Julien is qualified to award CCs in Cocker Spaniels and Curly Coated Retrievers as well as also holding an interest in Rachel's Miniature Wire Haired Dachshunds and Weimaraners. He has judged in Ireland (Green Stars), The Netherlands and Malta at the Maltese Ladies Kennel Club All Breed Championship show. He also judges BIS and groups at Open Shows in the UK.

Julien is also a regular contributor to Dog World, writing his monthly column entitled 'Down Buttermilk Lane', and on a more regular basis the breed notes for Welsh Terriers. Dog World is a weekly publication for Dog lovers in the UK and around the world.

Both Julien and Rachel are members of the Kennel Club's Accredited Breeders Scheme and we occasionally have Welsh Terrier Puppies for sale.
